Wyndham Revises Loyalty Program

Geoff Ballotti, president and CEO of Wyndham Hotel Group recently announced at Wyndham’s Global Conference changes that he called “transformational” for the brand. He called their biggest opportunity ‘technology’, as reported in HotelNewsNow.com

Guest rewards revision. Noah Brodsky, head of Worldwide Loyalty for Wyndham, acknowledged Wyndham Rewards wasn’t “even in the top half” of the industry engagement and loyalty systems. Wyndham Rewards is supposed to change that.

The model includes quicker redemption, at approximately $1,500 hotel spend level. It also includes the option to utilize a cash-points blend for redemption. Spend as little as $300 on rooms, and guests are eligible for to redeem for $25 – $95 cash plus points for a stay. The changes in Wyndham’s program sound progressive, and good for the hotel’s business and guests alike.

Wyndham is the world’s largest hotel franchisor, with 7,500 hotels in 15 brands.
